Earlier this summer, Lerach was placed in administrative segregation — locked down for 23 hours a day — after he allegedly offered a corrections officer the use of his San Diego Chargers season tickets, say three people familiar with the situation. Should a formal administrative proceeding go against him, Lerach would likely be forbidden from returning to the camp, and would instead be placed in a higher-security facility.

    Now See the Web Through ‘Chrome.’

    Google has just released the Beta version of their new Internet browser, Chrome.  Chrome is an open source and completely innovative approach to browser development from the team at Google.  Although the feature list is limited at this time and plug-ins are yet to come, the outlook for Chrome to take the lead in the browser race is positive.

    Chrome gives tabs the priority in the user interface and implements a unique “omni bar” where you get smart auto-complete for only things you have explicitly typed.  You can search not only the web but also specific sites such as Amazon by using keyword-tab combinations.  The default start page is also a new take.  It assumes that you will want to visit one of your most visited sites or search engines and displays them for you to select from.  The biggest innovation with Chrome is the separation of tabs into separate computer processes.  This facilitates more speed, better control, and less likelihood of crashes.  Chrome presents all this in a very clean and unassuming interface that I think you’ll like.
