Aug. 3, 2008 - John Benassi, a partner in Cooley Godward Kronish’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice, died suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 2. Mr. Benassi, who joined Cooley in June of this year, was based in the Firm’s San Diego office.

July 29, 2008 - Shawn E. McDonald has joined the Del Mar Heights office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP as special counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group.  McDonald joins from the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins.
